Holistic Assessments for Tailored Support:

Our experienced psychologists conduct thorough assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of your unique needs and challenges. By utilizing evidence-based techniques and tools, we develop personalized strategies to enhance your overall functioning and quality of life.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD):

For individuals with ASD, our psychologists specialize in providing support through behavioral interventions, social skills training, sensory integration techniques, and strategies to manage sensory sensitivities. We work closely with participants, families, and support teams to ensure a collaborative approach to therapy.

Some of the strategies they use include:

  • Conducting diagnostic assessment (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule -2 or ADOS-2) to assist with formalized diagnosis of Autism and a functional assessment (Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale or Vineland-3) for identifying strengths and deficits in functional skills.

  • Working with parents and care team members (such as GP, Pediatrician, Support Coordinator, Support Workers) to better understand the client's needs and provide collaborative care.

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals learn strategies to manage anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and other behavioral difficulties.

  • Using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to teach emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal communication skills for improving quality of life.

  • Social skills training to improve social communication, interaction, and understanding of social cues.

Intellectual Disability:

Our psychologists offer specialized assistance to individuals with Intellectual Disability. We focus on addressing cognitive and emotional development, behavior management, and fostering independence. Through individualized interventions, we aim to improve communication, social interactions, and overall well-being.

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI):

Psychological support is crucial for individuals with an Acquired Brain Injury. Our psychologists work closely with participants to address cognitive impairments, emotional challenges, and behavioral changes resulting from ABI. We provide therapeutic interventions, cognitive rehabilitation, and coping strategies to maximize recovery and promote functional independence.
